About Us

Our Mission
The Walloon Yacht Club objective is to encourage sailing in all its forms and to promote interest, participation, and good sportsmanship in yacht racing. In addition we strive to foster friendship among the residents and visitors of Walloon Lake and provide activities as a means to make friends and share their enjoyment of the lake. We also make efforts to support conservation of the natural beauty of the main bodies, shores, and surroundings of Walloon Lake and the purity of its waters.
Everyone Is Welcome
We encourage every sailor, at any age, to participate in the events we sponsor. You do not have to be a club member to participate in the racing activities. We encourage novices and beginning sailors to race with the open class whenever possible. The Committee boat is always there to guide everyone through the start sequence and provide assistance as needed.
Social Events
We encourage all club members to attend all of the social activities including post racing events. We also seek the support of anyone dedicated to the continuance of the Walloon Yacht Club activities by becoming a Contributing Member. If you have not yet joined our club, please fill out the application and become a member today.
